Work shifts

In Uncategorized on June 1, 2011 at 1:48 pm

“Community” is the first word in CSA! We ask that each member commit to two work shifts throughout the season, each shift being about two hours long.  Though a core group of members take on much of the administrative management of the CSAs, all members are asked to contribute a small amount of time to help the CSA run smoothly. Volunteer orientation and work shift sign up sheet will be available as we approach the season.

  1. I’m very interested in participating! I live in the area and would like very much if the pickup window time was extended.

I also had a question regarding participation: what happens if we’re not able to make a pickup time because of work/travel/vacation, etc.?

    Thanks!

    • Several members have requested that the pick up window be extende. Yes, we can do this. As the CSA is member run, we just need to make sure we have coverage each week. With regard to vacations, there are a few options. One is to donate your share to a friend and have them pick up. We will also have an out of town schedule soembers can coordinate with one another to swap shares. All suggestions welcome. Thanks.
